Oneness
The oneness of the human race
Might look that way from outer space
But as for us, here on ground
Unity is scarcely found.
Different nations, sexes, races
Religions born in disparate places
Politicians - left and right
Perceive the world as day and night.
Is this stigma core to nature?
To split the world with nomenclature
Diversity, the human prism
Its light obscured through endless schism.
Perhaps one day the time will come
When from the parts we’ll find the sum
Then blinded eyes reborn with vision
Will lead unity to trump division.
